I have no idea where I am but there's darkness all around. A single light is shining from above but there's none
elsewhere, not even reflection off of anything on the floor. The spolight above me reveals nothing, it's as if the
blackness around me absorbed the light even from the ground. I'm not sure how I assumed I was outdoors. as the ground
is as black as the nothingness around me. I reach down to touch it and it seems to be only under my feet. I want to move
from this spot, but I can't see what's around me enough to know if I'd even have steady footing if I were to move, I mean,
who do you get around in a not very well-lit void? I'm tired so I sit and the lights go off. As soon as I get comfortable,
an blood-burning scream cuts through my soul and I am up. I'm fucking scared out of my mind now. Whatever made
that god-awful noise could be right next to me for al I know because I can't see and all I can hear at the moment is my heart
pounding in my ears.
"Aw Cissely, don't go panicking and give yourself a heart attack, you're way too young, and your blood won't be nearly
as sweet if you're already dead."
Well, damn, that don't sound good at all. Who is this and how do they know my name?
"Cissy, don't be that way, we've known each other forever."
Whoever was attached to the voice was getting closer, that much I could tell, but it seemed to be somehow surrounding
me.
How'd she know what I was thinking?
"I don't think I know you." I said hoping not to let my fear be heard in my voice.
"Darn it all if I don't know you girl. Cissely Hargrove, seventeen years old, daughter of Reverend Jacob Shelten, and among
one of your more profound attributes, you happen to be a wonderous fire mage."
Knowing my name and age weren't all that special, my being a fire mage may not have been common knowledge, but Reverend
Shelthen? There was no way he could be my father so this woman had to be lying.
"You may know about my powers but whoever told you about the Reverend gave you seriously false informatiion"
"Sweatheart, who hasn't fucked their father?"
Ok, nowthat took me off-guard, No one knew about our elicit affair, not even my best friend.
"Most normal people, which if what you say is true I can officially no longer call myself. Who in the world are
you?"
"You haven't been normal for so long."
Then, not a foot away from my face, a beautiful woman appears, she looks like me except a bit older.
"Why, Cissy, how can you not recognize your best friend," Before my eyes could adjust to the change in her face, "and
your worst nightmare." her fangs were already in my neck. dosing me heavily with a neurotoxin that made my death almost orgasmic.
